*tearing up* again after watching that video. I will miss you so much, Mrs.Mueller. Can you put new popular newbery books?
ReplyDeleteCaleb - I love that you love the video! I posted a bunch of 2013 books on this post: http://muellersreaders.blogspot.com/2013/05/mock-newbery-2014-book-club-blog-post-1.html
DeleteAlso - take a look at www.kidsreads.com. They review cool new books every month. At the first Mock Newbery, I'll bring along some books, but in the meantime, libraries should have the ones I posted on that blog post. :-) I just finished A Tangle of Knots. It was good!
Thanks Mrs. Mueller. I went to the library and I got 6 total books I was so Happy. I even got a 2013 book called Jinx it looks good. I also got a book called Rot and Ruin, it is good so far but there is some language...and many more books like I'm starting the Vespers rising sires and continuing the Sluggers sires.I miss you so much and it is only the third day of summer.Thank you for being a great teacher.
ReplyDelete(p.s I still got teary eyed when I watched the video for the like tenth time!)
Caleb,
DeleteI'm so excited that you went to the library and got lots of good books! I've seen Jinx but haven't read it. You'll have to tell us about it! I like the cover and summary! I looked up Rot and Ruin since I haven't heard of it - looks like a young adult title, so that's probably why it has language. It's about zombies, right?! Creepy! Glad you're continuing on in some series. I miss all of you, too! That's why I planned summer book club meetings - I wouldn't have wanted to go all summer without seeing you all, hearing what you're all up to, and talking about books! :-) Happy reading!!
I can't wait to get more books. What books have you gotten?I know you have gotten a lot!I miss you so much.I can't wait to go to the meetings!
DeleteCaleb, I'm going to read One Came Home by Amy Timberlake next, right after I finish some adult books I've been wanting to read. I also want to read Doll Bones by Holly Black and an upcoming book called Every Day After by Laura Golden, coming out June 11th. I'm going to write a new blog post, so stay tuned!
DeleteI have just asked my mom to request Doll Bones and Every Day After. They both sound like really good books. I can't wait to discuss them at the meetings(I can't wait for the meetings!:-) I will see you then.Thank you for being the greatest teacher of all time!
ReplyDeleteOh good! I hope you get them soon! I'm excited about the meetings, too, Caleb! :-)
DeleteMrs.Mueller!!!
