On Wednesday, I participated in a Twitter book club called #SharpSchu Book Club. NOW, big news!  Next week, April 29th - May 6th, it is Screen-Free Week!!!  This falls perfectly for us because it's also O.A.A. testing week, so what better week to turn off electronics, t.v.s, and all other technology, and play, read, and daydream!!

Book Club at the Cincinnati Zoo

    

What a great day we had at the zoo, right?!  Here are some pictures taken at the entrance while we waited on everyone to gather:

This reminds me of when Julia and Ivan press their hands together on the glass of his cage - one of my favorite moments in the book.

Gladys, the baby gorilla at the zoo, isn't able to be shown to the public yet, but here is an adorable picture of her:

We took group pictures of the people who were left - unfortunately we didn't get everyone since some people had to leave early.

On my way out, a peacock graced me with a goodbye show in the tulips that was spectacular!

What a wonderful day!  How lucky am I that I get to spend the next two years with you!!??

Road Trip Mascot

One of my favorite bloggers is a librarian, Mr. Schu.  Every year he goes on a road trip with his friend, Donna, and takes along a book mascot.  Last year he took Ivan!
